Truly, projects are pervasive

I just finished CASIE (Calendar Simulator Engine). I can tell, it's pretty awesome!. The functionality... superb!. However, some changes might be applied on it to satisfy interoperability. No prob though. All I need is time... and of course, coffee...

Project JULIE is on the way now!. Watch out for it guys!. Nothing special though. Just a plain campus web site. I'll make sure that it's gonna be pretty exciting. Maybe im going to put downloadable games on it. Just check out the link later on.

Okay, for the last one. Here's the much awaited project. Make way for Project GALINDA!... I'm so anxious to work on this one. Can't wait to finish CASIE to concentrate with GALINDA. I love web services so much!. Honestly, I've been waiting for GALINDA all my life... mmm.... sigh...

Hey!. You may be wondering what CASIE is... or GALINDA.... Who's that freakin' girl?. Well, one of my hobbies is generating project names. It can be GALINDA or JULIE by looks. But ey! these are cool works on the web and a product of curiousity and motivation.

Ah, Mister Anderson...

...you are sadly mistaken. Hackers *ARE* a bunch of teenagers living in their moms basements.

I'd like to introduce you to the world of IRC, Mr. Anderson. Please, step into the Internet's biggest cess pool -- where you will find the source of every single "hack", virus, worm, or scam.

I'd also like to inform you that Microsoft Security regularly monitors their gateways for any outbound traffic to ports 6660-6667. Hmmm, could I be simply talking smack, or is there an actual POINT to Microsoft's concern with IRC?.

Good day, Mr. Anderson.

Vertical File Engine

I'm currently working on with CASIE. It's still in beta though. However, I'm having a bit of progress. I can stress that it's typically complicated. It's utilizes lots of pre-defined functions.

I'm just going to announce the link later on. It's gonna be huge, I tell you.

Gotta go back with my coding for awhile. Take care you lamers!

Opened Windows, Closed Doors

We filipinos are talented. We possess surmountable skills waiting to be released. We have huge chambers waiting to be unlocked. The only deficient reality... the hesitation to develop visions.

Yes, we were able to graduate in college. Is it enough?. Then, we force ourselves to be employed abroad. In what job?. I know it's decent, high-paying(compared to our country) job. However, we forgot what is essential: Pride. It's way better to feel one's true worth and be able to serve our country first before others. Somehow, we must build honor in ourselves for people to respect us. To be rich is not sufficient. Actually, it won't gratify what is indispensable. We must exhibit something that we can be known of. That's what it's all about. We must let foreigners know, that eventhough we belong in a third world country, we filipinos own what it takes to be on top. It's just that, we are deprived of opportunities.

Truly, what I'm trying to imply: Try to walk first before running. You can be fruitful in that mannner. People will look up to you!.

Well, that ends it I guess. It's a little broad. I hope you'll catch what I mean. Ciao!.

Science of Star Wars

from the gungans-are-tough-and-stringy dept.

anonymous lion writes "National Geographic has an interesting interview with a couple of scientists on the scientific reality of Star Wars. For example, related to the cohabitation of humans and Gungans on NabooSeth Shostak states, "So maybe it's possible to share, as long as neither species has the technology to obliterate, enslave, or merely cook and eat each other.""

Artificially increasing link popularity

Link spam in general has one goal: Increasing link popularity in search engine through employing various tricks. Usually increasing the number of links on the net, or the number of search terms in anchor text.

If you are tempted to use techniques of that sort, whether it’s Free For All, blog submitters or spamming, keep this in mind: ]

Artificially increasing link popularity may get you penalized in Google.

Have a look at their webmaster guidelines.

They have an open ended set of rules. One that includes common sense. Basically, if it’s too simple, too good to be true, or too sneaky, chances are good Google will condemn it as search engine spam. That could result in the backlinks not counting, weighted link rank (sinking a couple hundred places in the serps), or banning of the domain, subdomain or folder name (They can take out individual blogs or sites on an otherwise non-banned domain).
Basically, if you care about being in Google, do not do any aggressive off site SEO. Organic link building is the key. That means no automatic tools of any sort. If you comment on forums, blogs or other interactive places, do it in moderation, on topic and with class. That’s the key to long term off site SEO.

And one more thing: Us bloggers tend to remove links to spammy looking sites, even if your comments are on topic. I’ve been known to keep the comment and remove spammy looking links. Many of us frown on sites that are built with the sole purpose of earning money without having any intrinsic value, because we see them as polluting the web. If it’s trash, we trash it. That simple.
